    Experience the greatest scientific endeavour in history as you step onto Australia’s future site for the incredible SKA telescope and journey to the edges of the Universe in spectacular 360° virtual reality.

  • COU 175586 LITTLE WARRIOR

    Directors: Corbett Wall | Taiwan

    A young boy is brought to the heavens to learn the ways of the warrior.

    Journey together with Hie to a celestial world called 175586 where he learns from the forest animals and meets the supreme god Hamo, who transforms him into a Cou warrior. With Hamo’s spear and the gift of fire, Hie returns to his village to share the wisdom of the ancients.

  • ENTANGLEMENT XR

    Director: France Jobin + Markus Heckmann | France

    A dazzling work that distills quantum physics theories into a swooping sensorial experience.

    It interprets the concept of entanglement: when two or more particles link up, and no matter how far apart they are in space, their states remain linked. It is an uncanny phenomenon in quantum physics, one that defies explanations.

    It's just a pity that Mr. Grump didn't collect too many karma points during his life on Earth. Because when he suddenly finds himself in a shopping mall after his death, in which you can buy a new life with exactly these points, he is forced to rethink his entire attitude towards life.

    Directors: Matt Hattler | Hong Kong

    Shot entirely from an apartment on the 36th floor of a high-rise building, the images in this experimental stereoscopic animation survey large parts of Hong Kong’s cityscape.

    Initially recorded in 2020 and completed in 2023 with the advantage of critical distance, 二〇二〇 (“2020” in Chinese) attempts to encapsulate the darkness, confinement, and uncertainty of 2020 – the year of the global pandemic and the introduction of Hong Kong’s national security law.

  • COSMOGONIC

    Directors: Paweł Szarzyński + Igor Żukowicz | Poland

    What would robotic despotism look like through the eyes of famous sci-fi author Stanisław Lem? On the planet Actinuria lives a colony of giant robots ruled over by the terrifying King Archithorius, whose mind is consumed by the constant paranoia that a conspiracy is afoot against him. Thus he decides to clad all of his robot citizens in a special uranium armour that will cause an explosion if too many of them gather together.

    Stanisław Lem’s sci-fi short story, rendered in VR, is a fitting parable about the current crisis of democracy and the growing radicalisation of the governing elites.

    n an enigmatic world where everything falls apart, an elderly man comes face to face with himself and becomes separated from his reality. As time passes, his surroundings seem to fade and disintegrate into specks of dust. Alone, playfully guided by his conscience, he wanders in the depths of his inner self. In his latest VR film, acclaimed artist Michel Lemieux exhibits his trademark sensibility and humanity. At the end of it all, what remains? Dust, a glimmer of light, and the laughter of an invisible man.

    Step into teenager Priya’s world and influence her story, by playing the game Rock Paper Scissors against single-mum Lina in this interactive virtual reality coming-of-age drama.
