Beyond Frames is a short documentary about surf photographer Jon Aspuru and his journey with Natxo Gonzalez.

The film takes the viewer back to the early 2000s, to the tranquil village of Bakio on the north coast in the Basque Country. It is the connection to nature and the dream of imitating the great surf videographers of the time that make Jon start filming in his early childhood days. Meeting Natxo Gonzalez begins a journey for Jon in which he not only slowly gets closer and closer to his dream, but also the beginning of a special friendship. Away from the limelight, a mentoring role develops in the background, a brotherhood that will be put to the test again and again.

Beyond Frames tells of big dreams and the longing for home.
