SCREEN FOREVER, one of the largest screen industry events in the Southern Hemisphere, will be back in November.
Created by Screen Producers Australia, Screen Forever, has served as an innovative and inspiring forum for discussion and debate on the latest screen industry topics for over 30 years.
The conference has hosted some of the biggest names in the industry, including Golden Globe Winner Donna Gigliotti, Rose Troche, Lawrence Levey and most recently BBFF Festival Director J’aimee Skippon-Volke, who acted as a panelist in the virtual reality session VR: Creating A New World, discussing the cutting-edge art of VR technology in film.
“For anyone who is serious about broadcast and film, as a producer, it is a must go-to event,” J’aimee says, “not just for the wealth of panels, talks and information shared within those constructs, but for the networking opportunities both as an individual and for your organisation.”
Screen Producers Australia are passionate about talent and achievement in the industry and have recently extended full membership to Maren Smith, the production manager of New Realm Films and producer of the critically acclaimed film “One Less God”, which premiered at BBFF2017.
“When I received the email of congratulations and offer of full membership I was absolutely chuffed to have that industry recognition.
“Filmmaking is a tough gig, and producing doubly so because very few people, even those in other roles in the industry, really grasp what your pressures and stresses are, so being allied with and having dialogue with fellow producers is very important to me,” says Maren.
