RADHA MITCHELL will add her star power to the Byron Bay Film Festival when she appears at a screening of her recent short film, the psychological drama Whoever Was Using This Bed.Mitchell is currently filming on the Gold Coast opposite Guy Pearce in the satirical drama Flammable Children, also starring Kylie Minogue, and will travel south for Whoever’s Byron premiere. The actress has had a successful screen career since she first appeared on television as Pixie Robinson in Sugar and Spice in 1988, going on to feature in well-received feature films such as Man on Fire with Denzel Washington, Finding Neverland with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, and Woody Allen's Melinda and Melinda.Mitchell appears with moody French-American actor Jean-Marc Barr (Big Sur) in Whoever Was Using This Bed, an intimate and emotionally taut film directed by Australian Andrew Kotatko.Previously a music consultant for an array of Australian films, including The Water Diviner and The Little Death, Kotatko makes his directing debut here.Just over 20 minutes long, Whoever … focuses tightly on the tensions in a marriage that has lost its way.
