Eyejack’s: SUTU & AUGMENTED REALITY EXHIBITION As part of its massive ten day program this October, Byron Bay Film Festival (BBFF) proudly presents a ground-breaking art exhibition with a twist.Artist Stu Campbell (AKA Sutu) will be displaying his works throughout the festival period, offering art and tech lovers an interactive gallery experience. Many of the pieces were showcased in Prosthetic Reality - a first of its kind Augmented Reality Art book featuring 45 esteemed artists from around the world. The project has been heralded by Vice Creators Project as ‘the most ambitious AR art project’ to date. The book works with EyeJack, an Augmented Reality App and platform that specialises in the curation and distribution of augmented art.  It was created by Stu and Lukasz Karluk, the same team behind the award winning AR comic, Modern Polaxis. To create Prosthetic Reality, Sutu and Lukasz invited artists to use their EyeJack platform. Each artist was asked to transform one of their static artworks with a layer of animation. The end result is a creative showcase of AR possibilities… See inside the mind of a mean thug, or watch a fish come back to life on a dinner plate, or a small home disappear into a dust storm. These are just a few of the creative scenarios that animate across the pages.Augmented reality (AR) is a live view of a physical, real-world environment that has been "augmented" by computer-generated or extracted real-world sensory input such as sound, video or graphics.Byron Bay Film Festival is a regional leader on creative technology and innovation, and excited to be introducing this advanced technology to Byron Bay. Details of viewing times will be available on line shortly.
